User Content Policy

You retain ownership of your wardrobe photos and other uploaded content.

Effective: October 5, 2026 · Last updated: October 5, 2026

1. Ownership

You retain ownership of your photographs, wardrobe descriptions, outfit notes and other original content. Closet does not acquire ownership of your clothing photos by storing or analyzing them.

2. Limited permission to operate Closet

You grant Nova permission to store, copy, synchronize, display and process your content as necessary to provide Closet, protect the service and comply with law. Processing may include garment detection, crops, image embeddings and AI analysis through service providers. This permission is limited to operating the service, not an unrestricted sale of your content.

3. Storage and sharing

Photos are stored privately in the cloud and may be cached on your device. Wardrobe records are account-scoped. If you choose an available sharing or download action, you control what you disclose and to whom; recipients may retain their own copies. Do not share content that contains someone else’s private information without permission.

4. Your responsibilities

Have the necessary rights for uploads. Avoid unlawful, infringing, abusive or malicious content and unnecessary sensitive information. AI-generated descriptions may need correction; you are responsible for the content you choose to save or share.

5. Removal

You can delete items and request account deletion through Settings. Removal may not immediately erase backups, lawful retention records or copies you shared. Nova may remove content when required by law or necessary to enforce the Terms. Use Contact Closet for content or copyright concerns.
